Batch by destination, not just folder
Website thumbnails, email photos, and archival originals need different treatment. A useful batch contains files headed to the same place so one resize, format, and quality policy makes sense.
Expect different savings
A flat graphic, a noisy photograph, and an already optimized WebP will not shrink by the same percentage. Review the result list for files that saved little or crossed a format boundary.
Keep the originals until review is complete
Download the result ZIP to a new folder, spot-check important images, and only then replace workflow copies. The tool never needs to overwrite the files on your device.
